    When determining the position of the fly screen, take into account any interferring
    obstacles such as window locking mechanisms or door handles.

 

Mounting positions for ‘in frame’ types.

The actual position of the fly screen frame determines where the measurement
is taken, as the arrows indicate. The dimensions supplied will be reduced by
approximately 4mm to ensure that the fly screen and hinges fit the window frame.

Mounting positions for ‘on frame’ types.

The arrow indicates where the measurement is to be taken. The dimensions supplied
will be increased appropriately to ensure the correct overlap.

  1.                                                 Moulding dimension.

When mouldings are present on the frame, the moulding dimension is required. This
measurement directly affects the flyscreen size and type of hinge required.

5/6. Height of existing frame. abcdeMeasure the frame’s internal height on
the left and right hand sides.
7/8.  Width of existing frame.abcdefMeasure the frame’s internal width at
the top and bottom.

 

  1. When the fly screen is mounted on the frame, a twist clip is supplied to lock it.
    When the fly screen is mounted in the frame, a spring loaded pin is used to lock it to
    the window frame.
    Spring pin position:
    Mounted on the left side…………………….(V)

    When you stand in the house, looking out through the doorway, are the hinges to be

It is paramount that the existing door handle does not obstruct the fly screen.
